Issue 5 - Engine

At this stage, we begin building the STAR engine.

We start by assembling the complete fuel injection pump and attaching it to the engine block supplied in the previous issue. Next, we install the filters, oil dipstick, crankcase breather and heater valve. It is worth securing the rubber hoses with a little glue to prevent them from slipping out of their fittings — a standard procedure. The photos show exactly how I routed them.
